Erhard Weimann is State Secretary and Plenipotentiary of the Free State of Saxony for Federal Affairs, and Head of the Representative Office of the Free State of Saxony in Berlin.

Erhard Weimann, born April 17, 1954 in Würzburg, studied at the Vocational College for Public Administration in Kehl between 1973 and 1975, and holds a masters degree in administration. Between 1975 and 1978, he was employed at the Regional Council in Karlsruhe, and between 1979 and 1983 at the Ministry for the Interior for Baden-Württemberg. Erhard Weimann was a Parliamentary Consultant and Personal Desk Officer for the Floor Leader (Parliamentary Council) at the Baden-Württemberg Landtag between 1983 and 1990.

Between 1990 and 1993, Weimann was Minority Whip and Chief of the Parliamentary Consultancy Services of the CDU faction in the Saxon Landtag, and CDU Party Manager for Baden-Württemberg during 1993/1994. He once again became Minority Whip and Chief of the Parliamentary Consultancy Services of the CDU faction in the Saxon Landtag between 1994 and 2008.

Erhard Weimann is married, has three children, and has been living in Saxony since 1990.
