Information

The Saxony Liaison Office Brussels primarily follows the activities of the various European bodies and the institutions, which are headquartered in Brussels, and reports to the Free State on its findings. However, the European institutions depend on information, and must know the views of Saxony on various topics.

The Saxony Liaison Office Brussels therefore organises visits of members of the state government and experts from the various ministries in Brussels. It furthermore initiates and organises visits of members of the EU Commission to Saxony.

Networking

Europe is growing closer together. Over 200 regions, and over 2500 companies, associations and other institutions have established offices in Brussels. The Saxony Liaison Office Brussels maintains close contacts with all of them and provides support for the development of Saxon projects in the context of Europe. The Office also supports the Saxon economy by mediating joint ventures and creating networking opportunities with other regions.

Representation

The Saxony Liaison Office Brussels strives to create European interest in Saxony, and in reverse bring Saxony to Brussels. To this end, the Saxony Liaison Office Brussels orchestrates large-scale representative events and smaller special events.

The Saxony Liaison Office Brussels is first contact for all Saxon citizens and companies, who have any queries regarding European topics, or who are interested in Europe.
